Clout Bucks is another influencer network, and it’s also today’s topic. I’ll take you through their offer, how they work, and the red flags I came across while researching it.
A lot of people is interested in making money on the internet. That means a great opportunity for malicious individuals who prey on those with less knowledge. Is Clout Bucks one of those? Let’s see.
Clout Bucks: platform overview
Clout Bucks promises you can make money easily just by taking advantage of your social media platforms. You can promote the websites and refer contacts to make money. It’s very similar to platforms like SwagBucks, except for the claims it makes.
You can refer people and complete tasks to make money according to then, so let’s see what you’re supposed to do.
The famous 3 steps
If you’ve seen platforms like CashOG, you know these steps. You just need to sign up, share your link and complete different tasks before you can withdraw your money.
It sounds simple, and that’s the idea.
You can make money by promoting the platform. Your referral link increases your account balance for every click and referral you get; this is the main focus.
You can also upload a YouTube video with the instructions they provide for $50, and there’s a $25 bonus for signing up.
Besides, the task wall has several competitions and other tasks you can complete for around $30. These usually require you to provide your download apps or fill out forms with either your email or more personal information like your phone number.
So, is it legitimate?
Not at all, they cross the entire checklist of “signs to spot a scam” by copying the same formula as other phishing websites. Clout Bucks won’t make you any money, and you could even be endangering your own.
Let me explain why.
First, we have their promises. $30 for a single task or $10 for every referral is several times what you can make from legitimate websites. If you’ve worked with GPT (get paid to) websites, you know how much you can really make.
It’s all a ruse to get you to give away your information and get others to do the same. They don’t have the money to back up these promises.
All earnings and testimonials are produced—and even copy-pasted from similar websites. You’ll find the leaderboard is ridiculous, with people making over $1 million just by referring people and completing tasks.
The website hasn’t been around long enough for people to make those amounts from it. Even if they were really making $500 daily—and I mean 364 days per year—they wouldn’t achieve these results.
Copying the same scam
As I mentioned, Clout Bucks copies the same formula as other phishing websites. You can verify this quite easily: just look for “$500 influencer network” on Google right now and check out all websites claiming to be the “#1 influencer network.”
They all have the same bonuses, rates and offers. The 3 steps are the same for all of these scams, and you might even spot a few proofreading mistakes like mentioning other platforms on their content.
They make money from you
I’m sure these websites make money via CPA marketing, but that’s not the bad thing. The main problem is what they do with the data you provide. There’s a reason why they ask for more information than other websites, and people tend to be bombarded with spam email after trying these websites.
That’s why they push you to refer others. They want to harvest as much information as possible so that they can sell more.
If you want to make money on the internet, you need time and effort. You won’t become rich overnight, but you can build a stable business with enough patience.
In today’s day and age, there are a ton of gurus selling scams promising you to make millions of dollars overnight without putting in any work and a lot of them are for making money online.
I have tried and reviewed a lot of these garbage programs on my website and in saying that I must admit there are still some programs which are actually worth it and are quite good.
Out of all the legit programs that I have personally seen, one of the best ones I always recommend to almost anyone starting out is Wealthy Affiliate. This is one of the best places to start as a beginner.
It is one of the most comprehensive training out there teaching you almost everything you need to get started making money online. Not only do they teach you everything, but they also provide you with almost all the tools you need. It’s like an all in one platform.
One thing I love about this is that there is really no limit to how much income you can earn and it’s quite simple, requires no experience to get started so anyone can do it.
Guys, I have tried many different legit business models including dropshipping, social media marketing, drop servicing and more!
And to be fair, I have actually lost a lot of money trying out guru courses, training, webinars and things just not working/making any money.
Trust me, while those other businesses are legit and do work, they are a lot more cash-intensive and harder than affiliate marketing.
This here is NOT to brag but, to show you a small chunk of what I make online with affiliate marketing just to show you proof that I have done it.
Quite a few wealthy affiliate members actually earn over 5-figures per month! (That’s crazy, I am not there yet.)
Keep in mind that this is NOT a get rich quick scheme, you will NOT make money by just clicking a button.
This does require work like everything in life worth getting but, it’s worth it because eventually, you can not only work from the comfort of your home earning a full-time income but, start making passive income from this business.
If your looking to get started in a proper legitimate long term business you should definitely look into joining wealthy affiliate. It’s FREE to get started!
Read my comprehensive review on Wealthy Affiliate to basically see if it’s something you want to join or not.
And if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to let me know, I will be more than happy to help you out!
